When the British established their hegemony in India, they brought in a massive bureaucracy
and a military arm. Some of these fell in love with the mystic India.
They unearthed massive amounts of esoterica, which were never meant for broad publication and
published it broadly. The Indian mystery schools were meant for initiates who had very
specific spiritual preparation. The guardians of this knowledge taught that
divulging this information would be detrimental to those not schooled in its moral and ethical use.
Fortunately, the intellectual knowledge which was disseminated was not of any practical
use to anyone who had no functional training. Application required tremendous effort and even
then would not always result in an ability to utilize the information in any practical way.
Nevertheless the cat was out of the bag, and it was not long before Indian mysticism became a cultish
fad in England and later throughout Europe, especially Eastern Europe where it found resonance with the cultural
streams of Russian Orthodoxy, Sufism, and the like as exemplified by individuals such as George Gurdjieff and
Madame Blavatsky, whose theosophy, although an undigestible mishmash, became the basis for a variety of
teachings and disciplines such as Rudolph Steiner's anthroposophy. More recently the arrival in the West of Vedanta, various
forms of Buddhism, particularly zen and the vajrayana of Tibet, as well as a spectrum of teachers and gurus,
including both charlatans and the genuinely enlightened, has deepened (and in some cases confused) the
practice and understanding of these things within our own culture. All of these influences play their
individual parts in the development of Seeds of Heaven and The Gaia Chronicles.
The author stands on the shoulders of giants. Seeds of Heaven is a synthesis of information from many sources. Think of Tito Abao as a quilt maker, his fabric, thread and tools are great works of particular genius, inspiration and clever observation.
Erich von Daniken was a seeker who first (to my knowledge) gained popular acclaim with a non-fiction book entitled "Chariots of the Gods". In it he postulated from artifacts he found through out the world, that, they..the artifacts...could only have been produced or point to the existence of extraterrestrials. We are not now nor have we ever been alone in the Universe. But, the real surprise was that Von Daniken became a best selling author instead of a marginalized kook.
The King of all researchers in this area is a Hebrew Scholar by the name of Zecharia Sitchin, who through his work "The Earth Chronicles" has produced a stunning series of books which detail with intricate and pin-point precision, the history of mankind from our earliest beginnings to where we are today. Sitchin opened the door to a complete re-evaluation of the standard Biblical translation and using far more ancient writings and correct translations, a different story began to emerge and the world found itself looking straight into the face of our very early history which actually made sense and told a very different story than we had all been taught to believe. From the Old Testament we are taken back in time to a land called Sumer which was located in the land of Mesopotamia (now modern day Iraq). One of the most fascinating revelations made by Sitchin was the fact that even the Sumerian people themselves, drew on a much older history and relayed even more ancient times in their writings. So in effect, even the historical knowledge gained from the oldest known cultures on this planet, in effect actually goes back even further into a much more ancient past than the one we "assumed" was the oldest on record. Just how far does our historical past go back? And is it mere coincidence that the most ancient cultures on this planet whose writings have survived to be translated by the likes of Sitchin, mention "Beings from Heaven" who came down to earth to mingle with the inhabitants here? The Bible has many references to these Beings i.e. "those who from heaven came down".
Again, instead of receiving scorn and chastisement for his works, Sitchin was catapulted into the arena of best selling author and his research has become a crucial and pivotal part of any serious researcher’s study of these subjects. His meticulous research and detailed references make his work a ‘must for any researcher’. The general public also seems to be at a pivotal learning point in our history where they are hungry to discover the truth about our existence and therefore our ultimate future (one can’t possibly see where one is headed, if you can’t see where you have been).
The revolutionary 60’s had done its work. And done its work well. There was a new expansion of consciousness in the world of educated people. It hungered for reasoned truth over "dubious" revelation. I always wonder about the evangelicals who wander the planet, shouting "I have the revealed truth!", who was it revealed to.. I want to meet that person. The New Agers were making their thoughts felt and they were doing it with their money......buying books that would in another age been burned and their authors "burned at the stake".
This threw open the door for what I like to call guerrilla researchers who were finally taking a battering ram to the doors of academia and stone age religionists whose fixed dogma were based more on tradition and "this is what they always taught" rather than reasoned review and willingness to see the truth being unearthed in archeological digs specifically in modern day Iraq where Ashurbanipal’s prodigous ancient library of accumulated writings was preserved by a great ancient ruler who took it upon himself to archive the knowledge and writings of his time.
Now comes William Henry, the creator of a new category of researcher...the investigative mythologist applying reason and careful thought to the problem and has carefully developed the idea of the "Stargate" to suggest interdimensional communication with Earth from other entities....could this be real. I ask "why not?"
Micheal Cremo and his "Forbidden Archeology" a startling discussion of the possibility suggested by existing artifacts not just legend that intelligent advanced human life may have walked the Earth not just a few hundred thousand years ago, but, several million years ago!!!
The list of guerrilla researchers is growing longer every day. But, we can all feel confident that these thinkers who want to know the whole truth and nothing but the truth are out there and they are hard a work digging away.
We have recently lost the King of Latenight Talk Radio, Art Bell, whose open mind and courageous will to hear ALL the ideas available and share it with the New Agers and Alternate reality community put a lot of the guerrilla researchers on the radar. Hopefully, his replacement George Noory of the new latenight offering "Coast to Coast" will be accepted by the community of Ufologists, mythologists and alternative reality community and keep his on the air by voting with their radio dials.
Tito Abao in "Seeds of Heaven" seeks to weave all this information and the world of alternate reality ideas into a readable enjoyable adventure, love story, and epic played out in the world we live in and think we know about in a unique and original way. Come join me in the odyssey
